Movin' On Up

We moved Bodi into Indy & Landon's room over the weekend. I am very old-fashioned & naturally-minded so he slept in mine & Dave's room until now. The boys have bunk beds, but we decided that Bodi would use the trundle bed for now so that there'd be more storage/playspace for the kids. As you can see he was totally liberated...

For the sake of posting new pics... I know, we're always at the pool. Isn't Bodi cute, though?

Anniversary #1

For anniversary #1 we did the proverbial dinner & a movie. Dinner was at a little Mexican restaurant with views of the lake. The food was really good, but the highlight was when Bodi kept licking the glass between our booth & the other side where people were sitting. It was either let him get away with that or ear-piercing screams- I chose the former. We watched a movie at home & Dave ended up going to bed before it was over (it was a kid's movie anyway). Not exactly what you'd expect for an anniversary celebration, but what can I say?

Yesterday we celebrated our wedding anniversary. I think everyone knows we were actually married before this. We celebrate both dates 'cause we can.

Another Beautiful Weekend

On Saturday we went on a bike/run/rollerblade outing at a nearby nature preserve. It's very beautiful there & we are so lucky it's only a few miles from our house! This much nature is rare where we live because we're in the city. I hear that east of where we live is like this everywhere, but we've never been. Indy is really good at rollerblading & she loves to do it, even over bike riding. This was only Landons 3rd time biking without training wheels & he's a natural. I can't believe he's so good already. Of course they both just want to go fast, which scares me to death!

I wasn't sure if Dave was going to let me take a picture of him in rollerblades (they've gotten a bad rap, unfortunately). But, he got some nice ones at an REI garage sale so that he could do it with Indy. No, he didn't push the stroller at the same time... that would be SO dorky. I jogged with Bodi in the stroller.

Seems like everyone down here has a boat (well, the season is very long here). This is a big boating lake- hence the boat storage in the background.

Tired of pool pictures?

Yep, we pretty much go to the pool everyday. There are 3 to choose from & we usually have it to ourselves. Oh, and the foliage and arbors and outdoor barbeque pits add a resort-like feel. Envious?

Loooooong Weekend

Ok, so 4th of July weekend was very long for us because we had fun stuff planned since Wednesday. On Wednesday we went to a July 4th luncheon at Dave's school which the kids always love because there's good food, balloons, & the grounds are beautiful with fountains everywhere & lots of plants & wildlife to look at. Then on Thursday we went swimming most of the day since Dave only had a half-day. The following days were full of fun too (see my other posts).

4th of July at the lake

4th of July was a busy day. We all went swimming for a few hours, then we went to the lake toward the end of the day for the fireworks show. The kids had lots of fun & it was a beautiful day.

Boys will be boys...
